How Bet Pattern handles your data

Effective August 21, 2026 · rev. 4

The short version

Bet Pattern has no accounts and no server. Every session you record, every note you write and every photo you scan stays in the app's own storage on your device.

Nothing you enter is uploaded. Board photos are read on the phone itself. The only data that ever leaves your device is the voice audio Apple's dictation service handles when you dictate a note, and the anonymous purchase record Apple and RevenueCat need to run your subscription.

No analytics, no advertising, no data sales. Ever.

01 Who we are

Bet Pattern is a casino probability reference and record-keeping app, made by Infinium Research Inc. ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy or your data are welcome at morethanapple@icloud.com.

02 No account, no sign-up

Bet Pattern does not ask you to create an account or log in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identity information to let you use the app. There is no profile to fill in and nothing to sign in to.

03 Data stored on your device

Everything you create in Bet Pattern stays in the app's private storage on your iPhone:

We cannot see, access, or recover any of it — it exists only on your device. It is included in your device's normal iCloud or computer backup, so restoring your phone restores your records. You can delete everything at any time with Settings → Erase All Data, and deleting the app removes all of it permanently.

04 Board photos never leave the phone

When you photograph a results board, the image is analysed by code running inside the app on your own device: it looks at the colours of the marks on the board and turns them into a list of results for you to check. The photo is not uploaded, not sent to any AI service, and not stored by the app after the reading is done.

This is worth stating plainly because many apps in this category do the opposite. Bet Pattern has no backend to send a photo to.

05 Calculations run on your device

Every number the app shows — house edge, hand equity, streak statistics, the fairness test — is computed on your phone from the mathematics of the game. No calculation request is sent anywhere, and none of your recorded history is transmitted in order to produce them.

06 Voice dictation

The dictation button in strategy notes uses Apple's speech recognition through iOS. Bet Pattern asks for on-device recognition wherever your iPhone supports it, so the audio never leaves the phone. Where the device cannot do it on its own, iOS falls back to Apple's server recognition and Apple may process the audio to return the transcript, as described in the iOS permission prompt and Apple's privacy policy. Either way we never receive or store your recordings — only the finished text appears in your note, on your device.

07 Purchases and subscriptions

Payments are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID; we never see your card details. To activate and manage your Bet Pattern Premium plan we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-generated identifier, your device model and iOS version, a last-seen timestamp, the IP address the request arrives from (used to derive your country and then discarded as an identifier), and your App Store purchase receipt (product, price, renewal status). RevenueCat processes this on servers in the United States. It is the minimum needed to unlock what you paid for and to honour "Restore purchases" when you change phones, and it is never joined to your name, because the app never asks for one.

08 The two companies we rely on

Apple and RevenueCat are the only third parties involved, and only in running your purchase. We have confirmed that both provide protection of your data at least equal to what this policy describes, and both are contractually restricted to using it solely to deliver the service — neither may use it for their own advertising, sell it, or share it onward. Their own terms are here: Apple and RevenueCat. No other company receives anything.

09 Face ID

The optional app lock uses Face ID (or Touch ID) through iOS. Biometric matching happens inside your device's secure hardware; Bet Pattern only receives a yes-or-no answer and never sees, stores, or transmits biometric data.

10 Device permissions

Bet Pattern asks for permissions only when a feature needs them:

PermissionUsed for
CameraPhotographing a results board so the app can read it on your device
Photo libraryChoosing an existing board photo instead of taking a new one
MicrophoneDictating a strategy note
Speech recognitionTurning that dictation into text via Apple's service
Face IDThe optional app lock

Every permission is optional — the app works without any of them, minus that one feature.

11 What we don't do

12 Children

Bet Pattern concerns casino games and is rated 17+. It is not intended for anyone under 18, it is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the app, delete it from their device — that removes everything it stored — and email morethanapple@icloud.com and we will delete any purchase record associated with it.

13 Your choices, and how long anything is kept

Because there is no account, most of this is in your own hands:

Wherever you live, we apply the same rules: we hold as little as the app can function on, and we delete it when you ask.

14 Changes to this policy

If we change how Bet Pattern handles data, we will publish a new revision of this page and move this link to it before the change ships, so the address above always resolves to the policy currently in force. The revision number beside the effective date tells you which one you are reading. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
