How Life Oracle handles your data

The short version
- There is no account. You never give us an email address or a password.
- Your readings are stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them.
- To produce a reading, your birth details and your portrait are sent to our AI provider. The portrait is retained by that provider and cannot be deleted afterwards.
- We run no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. Nobody is profiled.

What the app collects
Life Oracle has no user accounts and no sign-in. We do not know who you are, and we hold no profile of you on any server we control.

About your photograph
We want to be plain about this, because it is the one part that may not be obvious.
A portrait cannot be read by the model while it stays on your phone. When you begin a reading, the photograph is uploaded to our AI provider's private storage and the model reads it through a short-lived link. The link expires; the stored copy does not. Our provider offers no way to delete an uploaded file, so that copy is permanent.
The upload is private, not public — it is never browsable or searchable, and it is not used to identify you, shown to anyone, or used to train anything. But we cannot promise to erase it, so we will not pretend otherwise.
Where your readings live
Every completed reading is written to a database inside the app on your own device. There is no cloud copy and no backup on our side. If you delete the app, or use Erase all readings in Settings, they are gone and we cannot recover them.
Because readings are stored on the device rather than an account, they do not follow you to a new phone.
What we do not do
- No analytics or usage tracking of any kind.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No selling or sharing of personal information.
- No tracking you across other apps or websites.
- No location collection.
Your device's language setting is read once, on the device, to choose which language to open in. It is never sent anywhere.
Face ID
If you turn on the optional lock in Settings, your device performs the check and tells the app only whether it succeeded. Life Oracle never receives your face or fingerprint data, and Apple does not share it.
Purchases
Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm purchases and to keep count of the readings you have bought. That record contains the purchase itself, not your name or contact details.
Children
Life Oracle is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
- Erase your readings — Settings → Your data → Erase all readings, or delete the app.
- Skip the photograph — if you would rather nothing left your device permanently, do not begin a reading. The portrait is required for a reading because face reading is one of the four traditions.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, we will update the date at the top and describe the change in the app's release notes.
