How Level Best handles your data

The short version
Your quotations, price library, and templates are stored on your device — Level Best has no accounts, and those records are never uploaded to our servers.
What does leave your device: photos and item text you send for AI price suggestions, any company logo you upload, your coordinates if you tap the address-lookup button, voice audio handled by Apple's dictation service, and the anonymous purchase records Apple and RevenueCat need to run your subscription.
No advertising, no tracking across other apps, no data sales. Ever.
1. Who we are
Level Best is a professional quotation app for handymen and trades people, made by Infinium Research Inc. ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy or your data are welcome at morethanapple@icloud.com.
2. No account, no sign-up
Level Best does not ask you to create an account or log in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identity information to let you use the app.
3. Data stored on your device
Everything you create in Level Best stays in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad:
- Quotations and invoices, including customer names and contact details you enter
- Your price library and quotation templates
- Your company profile (business name, logo, contact details) and app settings
One exception: a company or template logo you upload is stored on our backend (Base44) so it can be shown on your quotations, and it stays there. Everything else — quotations, price items, templates and settings — remains on the device.
Apart from that logo, we cannot see, access, or recover your data — it exists only on your device. It is included in your device's normal iCloud or computer backup, so restoring your phone restores your quotes. You can delete everything at any time with Settings → Erase All Data, and deleting the app removes all of it permanently.
4. AI features and what they send
Two features send data off your device, only when you use them, and only to answer your request:
- Photo item detection. When you add job-site photos and tap Extract Items, those photos are sent to our backend platform, Base44 (a Wix company), which runs the AI model and returns suggested line items and prices. Your saved price-library entries (name, category, unit and rate) are sent with the request as pricing reference, so suggestions match your own rates.
- Text-based suggestions. Item descriptions you submit for AI pricing are processed the same way.
These requests are transient: the app keeps no copy of your photos or text in any shared store, and results are written only to the quotation on your device. Avoid photographing things you would not want processed by a cloud service.
5. Address lookup
If you tap the location button on a quotation's address field, Level Best asks iOS for your current coordinates and sends them to Nominatim, a geocoding service run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which returns a street address to fill in for you. This happens only when you tap that button. We do not store your location, and the app never follows your position in the background.
6. Voice dictation
The voice line-item feature uses Apple's speech-recognition service through iOS. Apple may process your speech audio on its servers to return the transcript, as described in the iOS permission prompt and Apple's privacy policy. We never receive or store your recordings. The finished text goes into your quotation on this device; if you then ask for AI price suggestions, that text is sent to Base44 with the request, as described above.
7. Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID; we never see your card details. To activate and manage your Level Best Premium plan, we use RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous app-generated identifier, your App Store purchase receipt (product, price, renewal status), and the standard device details its SDK reports — vendor identifier (IDFV), device model, OS version, storefront country and IP address. This is the minimum needed to unlock what you paid for on your device and to honor "Restore Purchases".
8. Face ID
The optional app lock uses Face ID (or Touch ID) through iOS. Biometric matching happens inside your device's secure hardware; Level Best only receives a yes-or-no answer and never sees, stores, or transmits biometric data.
9. Device permissions
Level Best asks for permissions only when a feature needs them:

Every permission is optional — the app works without any of them, minus that feature.
10. Sharing and calendar
When you share a quotation by WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, LINE, Messenger, email, or the iOS share sheet, the content goes directly from your device to the app *you* choose, under that app's own privacy policy. "Add to Calendar" creates the appointment in your own calendar app; we keep no copy of your schedule.
11. What we don't do
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites. The platform's built-in analytics are switched off. Requests to our own backend do carry a random per-install identifier so the service can process them; it is not linked to your identity and is not used to profile you.
- No advertising and no ad networks
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with anyone for their own purposes
12. Children
Level Best is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how Level Best handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
